Hibiscus Coast Areas

The Hibiscus Coast runs north from the Whangaparaoa Peninsula through Orewa to Waiwera. It is made up of several small suburban residential and commercial areas such as Stanmore Bay, Arkles Bay, Army Bay, Manly, Orewa, Red Beach, Gulf Harbour, Silverdale, Tindalls Beach, Matakatia, Wade Heads and Hatfields Beach.

Back in the 1950s and 1960s Orewa and the Hibiscus Coast was a holiday destination to the family bach or a fullday trip to the beach. Now it is the second largest urban area in the Auckland Region and a very popular residential location.
